  Company History

Technology Support Incorporated was founded by IT engineer Jack Brandt in 1994. In the late 1990’s, the company began serving the market with products and services that lent themselves well to the new trend of mobile computing and home-based workforces, including Web-based company intranets and Citrix interfaces. It also established itself as a leading vendor of Microsoft and Cisco products. During that time Technology Support was the subject of a 1996 Houston Business Journal article as one of Houston’s up-and-coming technology firms. Since 2000, the company has expanded services in this area to include Voice over IP and home networking.

In late 2003, Technology Support began capitalizing on its long-standing track record in the real estate industry by providing specific solutions for real estate brokerages, apartment owners and managers, and homebuilders. These include systems that effectively link multiple offices, extranets and remote-access security systems. In 2004, Technology Support acquired AI Technologies, which expanded its cabling/pre-wiring, home automation and multimedia technology capabilities.

Early 2006 marked Technology Support’s inclusion in the Houston Business Journal’s FastTech 50, an annual awards program celebrating the top 50 fastest growing technology companies in the Houston area. In addition, Ryan Thomas joined Technology Support as Vice President of Sales and General Manager. Later in 2006 Technology Support received upgraded certifications from its strategic partners; with Cisco, Technology Support is now a Premier Certified Partner with a focus in voice systems, in addition to achievements and technical competency in the integration of routing and switching, wireless local area networks and security. This advanced their Cisco VoIP certification from the entry level systems through the enterprise-class Cisco Call Manager VoIP system, allowing Technology Support full accreditation to fully handle any of Cisco's VoIP systems. Microsoft also qualified Technology Support as a Gold Certified Partner, which recognizes the knowledge, skills and commitment required to meet today’s stringent needs of the information technology marketplace. In addition, Technology Support’s partnerships with Citrix and Altigen were renewed.
